Mount Bromo

Bromo, located in the middle of the sand sea of the area of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park occupies an area of 50,276.2 hectares. The best view point to enjoy the panoramic scenery of Mount Bromo is from Penanjakan in Pasuruan. From this place you can enjoy the national park area, the sand sea, Mount Bromo and the surrounding mountains. You can also see Mt. Semeru (3,676 meters the highest mount in Java) standing as the background. The terrific view of sun rise can be seen when the weather is clear.

Bentar Recreation Beach

Located in the village of Curahsawo, Gentling subdistrict 5 km to the east of the city, you can enjoy a mini zoo, a fishing pond, boat tours, a sea pier, a mangroves tour. Between the months of January and March you can see some sharks on the high sea of Bentar. Other attraction belong to the region includes Madakaripura waterfaal in Lumbang village (22 km to the southwest of the city), Ronggojalu Water Recreation in Tegalsiwalan subdistrict, Ketapang Gili island, Sumber Bendo Recreation Site, Lake Segaran, and Lake Agung.

Mount Bromo

Mount Bromo with a height of 2,392 meters above sea level lies in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. This National Park is in the administrative area of Probolinggo, Pasuruan, Lumajang, and Malang. The most popular access to Mt. Bromo is a Probolinggo-Sukapura Cemorolawang route. At cemorolawang, facilities available include hotels, an ATM and gift shops. The Tourist Information Centre is managed by Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. From Cemorolawang to Mount Bromo you can take a walk or ride on horseback along the sea of sand as far as 2,5 km.
