The Museum
was built by PT HM Sampoerna, Indonesia’s leading cigarette market. This Dutch
colonial-style building is located at 6 Jl. Taman Sampoerna of old Surabaya.
The museum houses objects from Sampoerna’s family private collections as well
as various corporate relics, original items used as tools for cigarette production
by previous generations, exhibition of paintings wich depict the life history
of the founder of the House of Sampoerna. Here you can see how the 234 female
workers are producing cigarettes without a machine.
