Sedudo Traditional Bathing

This traditional bathing ceremony takes place annually at Sedudo Waterfall. The ceremony is believed by some people that it will give blessings, salvation and enternal youth. The procession begins with a distinguished cultural dance performed by six dancers who are still virgin, have long hair and in a pure state. Then it is followed by a parade comprising the Regent, Muspida official leaders, and religious leaders. They bring incense and flowers to spread under the fall. Next the youths bringing containers take some water from the cascades and they give it to the sif girl dancers who have been waiting nearby. Finally, the dancers hand over the water to a religious leader.
